For the past 28 years, Ken Choi, owner of the Summit Garden Restaurant in Mississauga, has hosted a fundraiser to celebrate the restaurant's anniversary.

The main goal is to give back to the community. Another mission is to support a local charity, since large name-brand charities have extensive exposure. The local charities struggle to attract the donation dollars.

I have had the honour of being on the organizing committee for the event in the past several years. It has been such a rewarding experience, and I am very grateful to be connected to this worthwhile exercise.

For the 2026 event, we decided to double our efforts from last year. As in 2025, the beneficiary charity is called Indwell.
